More Provenance Watcher this weekend. Bearing 3 competent Black Mages, we took down the ole lady effortlessly and without flaw. For our efforts, a scroll of Meteor which went to Icepop and Wing got an ugly helm which wasn’t much of an improvement to his face to be quite fair. Lots of staffs dropped, and I were lucky enough to find the Witch hat in my chest. Bangin’. Rolling with Provenance Watcher and other VWNMs until the Legion update is put into place which will see us step fearlessly into the realms of Mordian Gaol (get new designers please game maker people.) to take on HNMs yet again, sans pet jobs. LEOEloELolEoloelE.

In other news, Diablo 3 is just around the corner. Are you going to be playing? Let us know, post on the forums. Hopefully we can catch up there!

Due to a ‘mishap’ with the first fight (read: BLM unable to stun worth a shit – No, not DR BLMs, BLMs from another well known Linkshell) we lost, but the second two were clean wins (after removal of said BLM)

After three attempts spent learning what set-up works for us, we finally took down Provenance Watcher to an empty pool (Breaze, your TH sucks). Congrats to Kryogenik on the Staff, our friend Ginormous came along too and won the body. Bastard.

Teamed up with some friends to try this just as the servers came up – as we were missing people online.

Legion = Fun. We took down 3 mobs, but due to a bad setup, we weren’t able to kill the Turtle or Jormungand quickly — so lost time there. Note to self: More Black Mages, less White Mages.

In the past 6 days, we’ve been working on finishing the final bits of Abyssea gear we’re missing, and working on an array of Empyreans, Relics and Mythic’s for the group. We’re getting much closer to the point where we’re ready to undertake new content. A word of advice for anyone thinking about taking 9 months off from the game: Don’t. It’s a lot of work to catch up when you come back!

First, in a stream of upgrades is Arasuta’s Ochain, Level 90. As for the 95 upgrade, well – yeah…

In addition to this, we have two Gandiva’s in the work, two Mandau’s, a Gjallarhorn, an Aegis, a Twashtar, and many upgrades to Lv.90/95 weapons.

It’s also been really nice to hear from some alumni DryRoot members on the forums. If you’re thinking of returning to the game and you were with us previously, even if only briefly, leave us a message on the forum. You could also send a PM. We’re also recruiting right now, so if you are looking for a way back in – without having to apply – now is the game (It’s a lot more casual than it used to be, though!)
